The Solar Handy Charger Ansmann is offering their first solar powered charger.
Now it is possible to be completely independent from mains plug and DC car adapters.

The device is an emergency power supply for mobile phones, MP3 players or other small devices. This makes it a very useful back up charger for use in emergencies, where your phone battery has ran out and you are out and about with no plug socket to charge it in. Keep it in your car's glove compartment for example.

The sun powers the Solar Handy Charger's energy storage units (2 x NiMH 1300mAh AA rechargeable batteries) into electronic power, to charge the phone.

The set includes 5 adapter plugs for Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson mobile phones and for USB (5V).
The internal NiMH battery will be charged by sun power or by USB.
The Solar Handy Charger is very compact for easy storage.
Ansmann issues a guarantee of 3 years.
